Today is the day before I leave for California. I'm sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room right now. Waiting. I can see the future, but I have to wait for what seems like an eternity before I can meet it.
In the meantime, I'm going to go have lunch with Gram and Alex ;)
Every once in while, I get this notion that I'm not supposed to be here — as if something was telling me Yes, you're doing a fine job where you are, and that's probably important... but you're not supposed to be here. You're supposed to be somewhere else.
Soon I'll be in a different place every day. Seeing different things. Talking to different people and, at some point, probably talking to no one. I will be suffering pain and experiencing awe — maybe even becoming a different person. Maybe all that will make a difference. Maybe that notion will change and instead say You are here. Maybe.
